We only offer one-to-one grooming, where your dog is with someone at all times. No dogs are left unattended and your dog is only with us for the duration of their groom ensuring no dog becomes distressed. Regular grooming is an important part of your dogs routine to maintain their health and well being. While your dog is being groomed this is a great opportunity to inspect your dog for any issues that may be hiding in their coat i.e. lumps, bumps, ticks, mites, grass seeds or skin problems that could be easily missed at home.

Here at Starbarks every dog is treated as if it's one of our own, we like to get to know every dog to build up a trusting relationship so each & every visit is a pleasurable one. We keep detailed records of all grooming sessions so we know your dogs likes and dislikes and of course what style you like your dog in. If you prefer longer or shorter on your next visit we will then know exactly what you want.

Hand stripping is totally dependant on coat type. We will not strip a dog whose coat is soft, this would be very uncomfortable for them and not fair. If the coat is the correct texture we aim to use finger and thumb only - no cheating with Furminators or Coat Kings here!
